Busy Mommy

Dawn had her first field trip to the zoo with her classmates and schoolmates!

She was actually supposed to go to the zoo with her previous childcare, but due to the outbreak of HFMD, the school postponed the trip.  It was fortunate that in her new childcare, they actually arranged the zoo trip too!

Dawn was so excited with her trip! She sat with anticipation in the coach, and also allowed me to put on the seat belt for her.  The bus was filled with excited voices from the kids and they started clapping and cheering when they saw the Zoo Signs.

It was a short trip….we managed to pass through the White Tiger exhibit, the otters, some monkeys because they ran around, the Splash Show and the Elephant show.  And after which we headed back to the school. On our way out, the train of kids had all turned quiet as compared when they first stepped into the zoo.  I guess all are tired.

Dawn fell asleep when she went up to the coach. Guess it must be a tiring trip for her.

Went to the Toy Fair at Taka, and saw some interesting and affordable toys.

And bye bye to the placing of the domino by hand! This comes with a truck that lays the domino! Issn’t that COOL!

And the truck knows how to turn and form a snake instead of a straight line! SMART!

And it comes with Catapult!

and I wonder why kids love them….

Can’t really understand or remember how & why I once used to like kiddy rides too.  Moving at the same motion over and over again for a thrill of maybe 1 minute? It seems to suck the kids into it…including Dawn!

Arhhhhhhh!!

My first Mothers’ Day which I got a present from my Dawn. And she gave me a big hug and shouted “Happy Mothers’ Day!”

For Dawn..Daddy bought this cute little cake for her as breakfast.

Like some other mums, I sometimes do think that I had sort of deprived my girl from the childhood joy that she should have. Things like building sandcastles, running around with only a panty on, swimming every weekend, etc.  Well, most of the time I do blame it to the fact that I do not have a car, and yes, I can take all the barangs and take a bus from the west to east, but the thought of it alone tires me.

And of ‘cos the terrible weather here put my ideas off many times.. :p

Thanks to the very good Uncle Patrick and Ah Yee Kat, Dawn had a chance to try on flying kite, on a very hot Saturday.

The kite is so big that it covers the whole of Dawn.

Yes, the little girl is 3 years old in January and we had a small family event again.  I think she had weeks of fun ‘cos she gets to celebrate her birthday in school too.

The Ah Yees & Uncles bought her a laptop! Hopefully she stops playing with my laptop now

The 4 Poh Pohs & Gong Gongs gave her ang pohs

Uncle Damian gave her an activity book.

And we bought her the cake she chose herself….

I had also ordered another small Barney cake for Dawn to celebrate her birthday in school, on her actual day!

Pardon me for the blur photos as my right hand was still in bandaged after the operation.  Had to use my left hand to take the photos instead..

And Little Dawn made some wishes before blowing the candle..

After which,Dawn and her friends enjoyed the cake together…Can you see Dawn?
