Overwhelmed

With work.

I was asked to be involved with so many projects that I am so busy in the office. To the extend that I didn’t have the time to have my toilet break.

I was so tired every day after work that I hardly have any more energy left at night to do anything else.

Some projects are coming to the end…and hopefully November is a better month.

It’s a busy season for me again. For the past 7 years, June-Oct period is the busiest period for my work. Over the years, it got worst. When I first join this company, my department was only 7 staff strong. Now, we have more than doubled the number and yet we are still as busy. Till the extent that I do not even have time for a loo visit -.-

Was asked to help out in a 1-week overseas project. It was damn tiring..but I was glad that I was given a room by myself, at least I do not have to put up with someone’s else untidiness and fighting over morning wash-up. And of cos the snorings…hehe..

There were happy and angry times during this trip…angry over the insensitiveness of you-know-who. Not going to bitch abt it here..and whoever’s little affair in the office has got nothing to do with me..the world has no more people with moral…

Oh ya..I had a good drinking session on the last night…was kind of forced to drink because the guys were playing the 5-10 game. I pretty surprised that I can still hold beer quite well! Was also almost pull to the dance floor, but I stuck my butt on the chair, for obvious reasons. I don’t want to show people lumps of fats jumping away on the dance floor…it will be a talk of the whole office in no time.

But of cos I missed Dawn. I was worried that she will not recognised me after not seeing me for 6 days. But I am so touched when I stood still and look at her, she flashed me a big smile after realising who I am. She’s such a darling!

I didn’t have much time to shop though. It’s so freaking cheap there ok! I wished I have all the time to shop. I got an original Disney shirt for Dawn for 5 Ringgit!

Enough about the overseas project…I missed my promotion this year…expected la..so I was not disappointed. Who will promote someone who went on maternity leave? Even though my boss told me it’s not because of those maternity leave (but because “they have timely plans for everyone – DUH -.-)…and the you-know-who was promoted…whatever..

I got a 3.5 mths bonus this year..not too bad, but still..left with none after settling all the bills and the lawyers fees..damn it!

It’s another week again..Can’t believe it! Half of 2007 is passing right under my nose.

Busy with work…not sure whether I am drowning myself with work…I guess I am..kept telling boss “OK” for things she proposed for me to do….was still feeling welcome for more work…but yesterday and today suddenly felt a string of fustrations..couldn’t smile like I used to in office..hmm..better not make myself sulk at work..got to SMILE n WORK! What’s more tedious than the heartache that was drowning me for those months? Life is easier with smiles…

Went to the lawyer’s office today…I have got so many documents to go through! Baka!

I think I might be falling sick..which I hope not! Had headache for almost the whole day already! And suddenly throat became very itchy and kept coughing. H was pretty concerned and raised his tone to asked me to consult doctor..hmmm…

It’s been quite some time since the last post.

It’s a tiring week. Work, work and more work…work that is never ending.

Had a week long event held in Regent Hotel. Helping a colleague with some on-site support. 7am to 6pm or later kind of thing. It’s tiring because of the running around for the first few days, the early days and the late nights, plus having to work from home every night till 11pm+.

But I’m happy. No complains. It keeps me occupied. No time to think things which makes me sad or unhappy.

Talking about Regent Hotel, do you know where it is? I am kind of sua-ku before this event as I never heard of this hotel. It’s a Four Seasons Hotel, okie! 有眼不识泰山！！On Monday when I first stepped into the hotel, my jaw nearly reach the ground. I thought it’s some 3-4 star business hotel like Traders, but I am so damn wrong! It’s so grand inside can! Especially the lights at the hotel lobby. And I like those glass lifts, it’s just so….just so …hotel lor..I have no other better words to describe.

However, there’s a “fault” in the hotel design. The 2nd and 3rd floor has transparent side railings. Girls wearing skirts or dresses will 走光 if walking or standing too near the railing. And of ‘cos clumsy me didn’t realise that till it was erm…too late..haha!

For the past 1 week, I had been eating..like a pig! Breakfast, morning teabreak, buffet lunch, afternoon teabreak. I can go without dinner for 3 of the nights…imagine that!

May is coming soon! Besides a busy month with lots of work, it’s a feasting month. I want my crabs!

Dawn went for her 5-in-1 injection on 20th Apr. I signed her up for the additional injection such as pneumococcal. Poor Dawn, 1 injection on each thigh…end up being very cranky for 2 days…can’t even make her smile or laugh.

Back to work!

After 2 months of no-work, it’s time to go back to work!

Thank God for extensive cover list which I had prepared and helpful colleagues, I didn’t have much backlogs to clear. I had 278 emails in my inbox! Spent the whole day reading (and deleting) these emails.

Time passes fast at work. I wonder does Dawn miss me at home? I guess my mom is her best pal now, she hardly will miss me.

My company provides nursing rooms for mommies like me! It’s just great! Good privacy and adequate facilities. It does help to encourage me to continue breastfeeding. Gambatte!
